Certified positions require a current Arizona Teaching Certificate, college placement file, and official transcripts.
Official transcripts are required during the interview process.
To be certified to teach in Arizona, the Arizona Department of Education requires:
Fingerprints and Fee ($67 money order)
Fee for Arizona Teaching Certificate ($60)
Fee for each additional endorsement ($60)

Average salary of all teachers employed in FY 2024 (budget year) | $51,111 |
Average salary of all teachers employed in FY 2023 (budget year) | $47,307 |
Increase in average teacher salary from prior year | $3,804 |

Additional annual compensation per teacher through the Classroom Site Fund (commonly referred to as 301). | $5,000-$7,000 |
