📣 Black Mountain Schools truly excelled during their I.T. Career Exploration Days! 🌟🌟
◾️Their 1-3 graders had a chance to listen to Dr. Chiarappa from Department of Economic Security's Vocational Rehabilitation services. He completed activities with them and spoke about different IT careers in Arizona.
◾️The 4th graders had the Mohave County Flood Department come out to show the students all of the IT aspects of their job.
◾️The 5th graders had the opportunity to welcome Mr. Maldonado, who traveled from Las Vegas to discuss his carrer in mining and the various IT job opportunities in the field. He is employed by Nevada Gold Mines operated by Barrick Gold North America.
◾️Mr. Ryan Artz from Banner Health visited the middle school students to discuss the significance of cybersecurity and the career opportunities available in the field!

Lee Williams High School held an I.T. Career Fair for their students to explore the different I.T. career pathways within our community.
Students interested in the I.T. field had the opportunity to chat with businesses about all things tech!
A huge thank you to all of the businesses that attended this event and helped empower the next generation of tech enthusiasts!










Manzanita Elementary had an exciting day at their I.T. Career Exploration Day. Students sat in an assembly led by Mrs. Gelsinger. They listened to Mr. Zumwalt with Wecom Fiber as he provided them with fun facts about the internet and how it works.
The students were so amazed when Sgt. Burkhurt and SRO King with Kingman Police Department showed up with their Remotec Andros Robot. 🤖🤖 This robot allows the police to see, hear, and manipulate things without endangering humans!










KUSD would like to give a big shoutout to the amazing custodial staff at SSC for their dedication and hard work in keeping our schools and worksites in top shape! 👏 Thank you for all that you do. We appreciate you!


Kingman Middle School invited Detective Lucero, Detective Zoll and SRO King from Kingman Police Department for their I.T. Career Exploration Day, held in September. The demonstration included how drones are used in law enforcement.
Thank you for coming and showing our students how I.T. plays a huge role in your workforce!
Students got a firsthand look at how technology is integrated into law enforcement, including a live drone demonstration that highlighted modern surveillance and investigation techniques. It was an exciting opportunity to showcase the role tech plays in keeping our community safe.







KUSD held Career Exploration Week at all schools during a week in September.
Ms. Prentice's 8th grade class at White Cliffs Middle School, met with John Binkiz, youth program manager from AZ@Work, to explore different career pathways through the use of VR Headsets. Students were able to explore medical, trade, and technology careers to better understand the different aspects of the professions.




Today, our schools took a moment to remember the significance of September 11th - Patriot's Day. 🇺🇸 It's important for our students to understand the impact of this day in history.
At Black Mountain Schools, students engaged in art projects to commemorate this day. It's heartwarming to see our young ones paying tribute in their own creative ways.
Let's continue to educate and honor the memory of those affected by the events of September 11th.

Cerbat Elementary School had an amazing turnout at their PTO Backyard BBQ event last week. It was so nice to see so many families come together for dinner and spend time with their students at the school.
We love seeing the memorable experiences for our students and the school community!








White Cliffs Middle School hosted an exciting Football Jamboree to kick off the season! Teams from Kingman Middle School, Wallace Jr. High, Desert Star Academy, Kingman Academy of Learning, Mohave Accelerated Learning Center, Mohave Valley Jr. High, and Thunderbolt Middle School joined for an afternoon filled with plays and sportsmanship. It was a great opportunity for our young athletes to showcase their skills and passion for the game. 🏈🎉










Last week, high school students from Kingman, attended the WAVE orientation at MCC. These students will be taking career and technical education classes at MCC this fall. Congratulations to all of our WAVE students!

Families at Hualapai Elementary School had the opportunity to kick off their day by joining their students for a pancake breakfast. 🥞🥛☕
It was heartwarming to see families and their students, enjoying breakfast before the school day began. ❤ Thank you to all the families who participated in this special event - your presence truly made a difference!









The seniors at Kingman High School came together yesterday morning for the "Senior Sunrise" 🌄 event to kick off their final year with a homemade breakfast of bacon and pancakes, 🥞🥓 courtesy of their administration team.
Students also had the chance to visit with their favorite bulldog mascot, Rocko! 🐶❤️

Yesterday evening, Lee Williams High School hosted the Cambridge Night event. The Cambridge team of teachers and administration shared insights regarding the classes for their students and their families.

Kingman High School hosted their Activity Fair during lunch last week, providing students with a chance to showcase their clubs and invite new students to join.
School clubs are a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with other students who have similar interests!










Manzanita Elementary School continued their tradition of recognizing students who achieved a "highly proficient" or a perfect score on the AASA Spring State Assessments. The handprints of these students are displayed in the school hallway for everyone to admire!

Kingman Middle School (KMS Bobcats) students in the Cambridge program kicked off their academic year with engaging STEM activities involving Pringles and applying inferencing skills to unravel "whodunit" mysteries. 🕵️♂️💡
