On December 12, 2024, Lee Williams High School hosted its inaugural Student Townhall. More than 15 tables were packed with enthusiastic students eager to share their opinions. Each table was facilitated by a student moderator, allowing participants to express their thoughts on key strategic plan priorities, including Staff and Student Well-Being, Communication and Collaboration, Equitable and Accessible Learning Spaces, and Effective and Transparent Transitions.
Yesterday, students from Mrs. Llerin's class at Little Explorers Early Learning Center had the chance to visit White Cliffs Senior Living Center. They were warmly welcomed by the residents and even Santa, who arrived with gifts for each student. After the students sang some Christmas carols, they enjoyed hot cocoa and cookies. A big thank you to White Cliffs Senior Living for hosting our students!
Last Wednesday, Kingman Middle School celebrated their Winter Carnival, organized by the Kingman Unified Special Olympics K-12. The event featured a variety of fun activities for students and their families to enjoy. A highlight of the day was a special appearance by the Grinch himself!
Today was an enjoyable day for everyone at Manzanita Elementary as they hosted their Marketplace! Students displayed an impressive variety of items, including tasty treats, handmade crafts, games, and toys! It was a meaningful learning experience for all participants, and everyone truly had a wonderful time.

The staff and students at Desert Willow Elementary School are embracing the holiday spirit! 🎄 They're holding a door decorating contest, and the results are impressive. Check out the photos to see some of the doors and the creativity that went into them!
Last Thursday, Cerbat Elementary School hosted their Candy Cane Lane Title I Family Literacy Night. The evening featured candy cane-themed literacy games and activities. Numerous gift baskets were up for grabs in the Silent Auction. Students and their families enjoyed various literacy stations, game areas, arts and crafts, and special book rooms!
Kingman Middle School students who are a part of the Kingman Unified Special Olympics K-12 visited the campus of UNLV. Students participated in a guided tour that included learning about campus life and the different programs available to students. This tour made attending institutions of higher education a more tangible reality to students with diverse learning abilities.
Last week, in collabration with local military recruiters, the Kingman High School guidance counselors and instructional coach were hard at work proctoring the Armed Services Vocational Apptitude Battery. The ASVAB is primarily used for military enlistment but it also provides information regarding the strengths and skills of an individual determining what career pathway to follow.
On November 12th, Dr. Adam Dawson from Kingman Regional Medical Center spent his day discussing his profession and the medical field with children throughout Kingman Unified School District.
Here, he is visiting with students at Little Explorers Early Learning Center. He talked about being an emergency room doctor, showed students how to take their pulse, and explained the many different professions related to the health science field.
Kingman Regional Medical Center gave tremendous support to all of our schools. Exposing students at every grade level each career field is important and we appreciate KRMC and their staff for helping us with this endeavor.
Yesterday, Kingman Middle School hosted the Reality Store. 🏠💵
The "Reality Store" is an engaging activity in which students randomly select a career, annual income, marital status, and whether or not they have children. It serves as a real-life simulation to the game of "Life." Students learned how to manage a checkbook while exploring career options and making important life choices.

Numerous schools in KUSD commemorated Veterans Day today by welcoming veterans to their campuses. At Black Mountain School, VFW Post 10386 and American Legion Post 22 visited to share the significance of Veterans Day. They also educated the students on proper flag etiquette and the symbolism of the red poppy. Thank you to the veteran's for your dedication and service.
Last week was exciting at Kingman Middle School! In the spirit of camaraderie, the school extended an invitation to Manzanita Elementary, welcoming them to come and join in on trick or treating right in their hallways. The KMS students and staff had a great time handing out candy in their fun costumes!

White Cliffs Middle School held its Trunk or Treat and "Haunted School" 👻 event last Thursday! 🎃 Students eagerly lined up in their costumes, excited to enter the "Haunted School." It was a fun night for both students and their families!
Manzanita Elementary School hosted their annual Fall Festival last Thursday. From superheroes to spooky ghouls, decorated trunks and games, everyone had a blast! 🎃 👻

Just before Fall Break, White Cliffs Middle School celebrated their students' positive behavior with a new initiative called the Wolf Pack Celebration. At the start of each quarter, students receive 100 points, and the goal is to maintain those points by avoiding Pack Infractions or Referrals.
On the last day of the quarter, those who succeeded were rewarded with a 2-hour fun period! During this time, students had the chance to participate in various activities, switching every 30 minutes. Their options included Silent Ball, Board Games, Legos, Jeopardy, Origami, Coloring, Water Balloons, Lip Sync battles, Phone time, and more!
Cerbat Elementary School highlighted their I.T. Career Exploration Day by organizing a variety of engaging activities for students to experience.
The first activity featured Mr. Wigal in the library, where he showcased the functionality of a 3D printer.
Meanwhile, in the gym, students had the opportunity to try out a dance video game demo.
In their classrooms, students participated in activities such as playing Interland, which focuses on digital safety, completing lessons on Canva, and mini research projects.
