At SkillsUSA Arizona Regionals, students demonstrate technical, personal, and workplace skills through hands-on, industry-judged competitions. They gain real-world career exposure, receive feedback from industry professionals, and develop confidence and employability skills, with opportunities to win awards, tools, and scholarships.
👏We would like to give a shout out to Hayden Garcia, Natalee Morris, and Katherine Lima Montano whom secured 3rd place in the Crime Scene competition and Jasmine Nockideneh who finished 4th in the AST Automotive competition, who will proudly represent Lee Williams High School at the SkillsUSA State Competition in April!🎉

Attendees gained insights into the high school registration process, learned about the block schedule, and explored the credits and requirements necessary for graduation. Additionally, they learned about various pathway options available within KUSD that can guide students toward their future careers.

Students learned about different pathways available at the high school level including Career and Technical Education, Advanced Learning including Cambridge and Dual Credit, WAVE, and Mohave College.
Students participated in hands-on and interactive activities. Eighth graders will use today’s experiences to make informed decisions about their pathway as registration for high school classes quickly approaches on January 27th! 👩🏻💻📓✍🏻💡

Ms. Scroggins, CTE Teacher for Early Childhood Education, and Mr. Qualls, CTE Teacher for Culinary Arts, teamed up to prepare nutritious meals🍌🍉🍝🍗, focusing on childhood nutrition. Roving Chef offers an engaging, hands-on experience, allowing students to work side by side with 👩🍳SFE Chef Heather Mack, to create a delicious recipe. During this event, the students took a tour of their school's kitchen, where Chef Heather explained proper handwashing techniques, safe food temperatures, and the nutritional advantages of healthy eating.
The students were in for a treat when they found out they were making their own personal pepperoni pizzas. 🍕🍕 Thank you to SFE for making this a fun and educational experience for our students! 👏🏻

✨Our high school students had the opportunity to attend Manufacturing Day! ✨
They were able to tour Mohave College's new Advanced Manufacturing Training Center as well as other businesses in the industrial park.
💡They gained an understanding of some of the careers and job opportunities within our community. The businesses they visited are among the leaders in the industry, showcasing the potential for a bright future. ⚙🛠
👏🏻We would also like to thank local electrical contractor Tim DeVault for providing valuable information in the electrical trades to the students.
🙌🏻We want to give a huge thank you and shout out to American Plastics, Brackett, Straubes Aircraft, MC2, American Woodmark, Atlas Roofing, Peacock Nuts, Chromascape, InSteel, Lomanco, and ALLO for graciously hosting our students and providing them with an informative glimpse into the manufacturing field.

🎯The goal for the middle school Manufacturing Day was to have every 8th grader attend, so all students can become aware of what manufacturing is, gain hands on experiences and learn about the college and career pathways that are available in the trades.

Throughout the Early Years Cambridge Program, our preschool students engaged in enriching activities centered around art, music, dance, and drama. This program celebrates children's natural creativity but also empowers them to express their thoughts, feelings, and personalities both verbally and non-verbally.
