Update #4 - 4/30/24 at 4:15pm: Cerbat Elementary School is currently on a lockdown in response to an incident in the area, not at the school. Law enforcement authorities are actively investigating the situation. We want to assure you that all students and staff participating in after-school programs are safe. For safety reasons, Cerbat students participating in after-school programs riding activity buses home, must be picked up directly from the school. Please bring your ID. Pick up will be in lobby.
Update #3 - 4/30/25 at 3:10pm: Families at Black Mountain School, you are now able to pick up your student from school. Please have your ID's readily available.
Update #2 - 4/30/25 at 2:45pm: In response to the recent incident in the Golden Valley area and for the safety of the staff and students, Black Mountain School is currently under a hard lockdown while law enforcement conducts their search and investigation in Golden Valley, not at the school. All students are safe inside the building.
KUSD Families,
We have received information from the Kingman Police Department regarding an armed suspect believed to be in the Golden Valley area. In light of this situation, and prioritizing the safety and well-being of our students, KUSD will not be dropping off any students who ride a KUSD school bus to Golden Valley at this time. We kindly request that parents in Golden Valley arrange to pick up their children directly from the school. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
