We are proud to be part of the world’s largest international community of schools.

Cambridge Assessment International Education prepares students for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for life-long learning.

Our Cambridge Schools

“The Cambridge programs at each high school and middle school achieve the same goals academically. Each program provides students with opportunities to: enhance critical thinking skills and advance personal learning; thrive in a highly academic environment; develop the skills necessary for success in the real world; and offers a level of challenging academics in order to prepare students to be globally competitive.” -Margaret Stevenson Smith

High Schools

“The LWHS Volunteer Spirit thrives in the Cambridge program. Students are engaged in and take responsibility for their own learning. Not only do Cambridge students excel academically in the Cambridge classroom, the Five Learner Attributes nurtured in those Cambridge classrooms transfer into all their classes and well into their own living.” -Margaret Stevenson Smith

“At KHS, Cambridge nurtures the confidence and innovative thinking needed to tackle the CTE courses offered. We have seen Cambridge students excel in CTE courses. The two programs support each other when it comes to student achievement.”

-Margaret Stevenson Smith

Middle Schools

“Cambridge prepares students for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and lasting passion for learning.”

-Cambridge International

“Cambridge allows students the opportunity to receive a global competitive education that gives them the skills needed for the workforce. Cambridge students become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and confident in their abilities to collaborate.”

-Dana Kunert

Who We Are

Cambridge Assessment International Education is the world’s largest provider of international education programs for over 10,000 schools in more than 160 countries.

In the new, constantly changing, global economy students will need the knowledge and skills that are necessary to navigate the complexities of college and career in today’s global society. These include: an appreciation for cultural differences, ability to understand multiple perspectives, comfort with change, and the capacity for highly critical and analytical thinking. KUSD Cambridge classrooms support students in their journey of achieving the skills necessary to be competitive in the global workforce.

Cambridge programs and qualifications are designed to support students in becoming:

  • Confident in working with information and ideas – their own and those of others
  • Responsible for themselves, responsive to and respectful of others
  • Reflective as students, developing their ability to learn
  • Innovative and equipped for new and future challenges
  • Engaged intellectually and socially, ready to make a difference.

Innovative approaches to teaching and learning are hallmarks of the Cambridge Academies at KUSD. The Cambridge program is available at Lee Williams High School and White Cliffs Middle School.
