February Students of the Month

Yesenia Sanchez, 16, enjoys playing and watching soccer.

When attending school, her favorite subject is horticulture. Yesenia’s future plans include returning to Mexico to continue her education.

She likes being in P.A.L.S. because there are not a lot of students and she gets more one on one time with the teachers.

Bryan Prentice, 16, enjoys playing hacky sac, hanging out with friends, and playing chess.

While in school, he likes studying math. After completing high school, Bryan plans to attend DeVry to become a video game designer.

Bryan likes the P.A.L.S. program because of the small class size.

Patrick Wiegersma, 15, enjoys driving, working, and paintballing.

When attending school, his favorite subject is social studies. His plan after high school is to drive truck.

Patrick likes P.A.L.S. because of the secluded environment and because the people are friendly.

These students have qualified for this honor through performance at school in:
Academics, Behavior, Attendance, and Lifeskills

PALS is an alternative education program for sophomore students. Core subjects are taught in conjunction with six career pathways. Via hands-on application, students are able to make the connection between course content and real life.
