I would like to welcome you to Palo Christi, a K-5 school that has the honor of being the oldest school in Kingman, AZ. In addition to being the oldest, our students score among the highest of all schools in Kingman. I attribute this to several things: one is the small class sizes and two is the fact that our teachers come here and stay so we also have the lowest teacher turnover of any school in town. As a result of the teachers staying here, we are able to build a stronger community for our students. Many of our local leaders and community members have graduated from Palo Christi. We are proud to continue to add future leaders and community members.
We value our parent volunteers and welcome more so that our students can continue to receive extra help. Without volunteers our “Walk to Read” program would not be the shining model that has been copied city wide. Palo Christi was the second school in Kingman to take advantage of the Art Masters program which would not have been possible without the generosity of the Kingman Art Guild and other donations.
So on behalf of a very talented and experienced staff, I want to welcome everyone to the 2007-2008 school year at Palo Christi.
I am also looking forward to my 18th year as a building principal and the 4th year here at Palo Christi.
Sincerley,
Steve Hite
Principal
