Welcome to Manzanita

Excelling School 2008 - 2011

Welcome everyone! You’ve ventured into a good place--our Manzanita Elementary School Website, an Arizona Department of Education recognized “Excelling” school 2008-2011 as indicated by the US Department of Education and No Child Left Behind. We are a school with tradition and excellence. We cordially invite you to make yourself at home and stay awhile. Whether you are a prospective parent looking at schooling options in Kingman, a parent whose children currently attend, an admiring grandparent keen to see what your loved ones have been doing in school, or an fellow educator or student interested in what our teachers and students are learning and sharing via the internet, we are confident you will find the words and images within to be rich and informative.

Our school serves all day Kindergarten through 5th grade. We strive to provide all students with a friendly and encouraging study environment, rigorous academic curriculum offerings and support services designed to meet the individual differences among our learners. At Manzanita we take pride in nurturing a child’s natural curiosity and desire to grow. As you will see, students enjoy rich opportunities to develop all their talents and skills—reading, throwing/catching, singing, solving problems of all kinds, and working constructively with classmates to name a few. These children show a great deal of pleasure and pride in their work and by doing so they inspire their peers and the adults around them. The website offers a window on our efforts over the past several years.  We are in the process of changing our websites format and are eager to hear about the changes. Please share with us your comments and suggestions and keep visiting us as we continue to work together to tap the potential of technology to learn and share our work.

Some new parts that will help with our constant communication is the addition of “Genesis”. Parents can log-on 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week to view messages, progress, grades, and more. Keeping up-to-date and connected with your child’s education has never been easier. For questions on this or any of our other programs please contact our school using the contact information listed. We are always happy to hear from you!

Please stop by the front office and use our new laptop at the counter to sign up for a fundraiser that will not cost you a dime of money or a minute of your time!

It's never too early to start thinking about this year's tax credit donation! You may donate up to $250 if single or $400 if married. All donations are completely refundable at tax time and are so helpful in making Manzanita the best school that it can possibly be! You can donate directly at the school or at our District Office. Please contact our office for more information at 753-6197
