A school that is committed to building a community of responsible citizens. Hello, I am Mrs. Sue Hamilton, Principal of La Senita Elementary School, home of the Roadrunners. Our school is made up of K-5 classes with help in the areas of Special Education and English Limited Learners. We also have special classes that all our students attend during the course of the school day in music, library science, computers and physical education. I am starting my 4th year as Principal with visions of making La Senita the best school it can be. With 35 highly qualified teachers by my side La Senita has continued to make “Annual Yearly Progress” and maintained the title of “Performing School” for the last 3 years on our state standardized testing. Our school is also known for the Integrated Thematic Instruction also known as “ITI” that helps our students grow to be those responsible citizens. There are 18 life skills that we work with the students on during the course of the school year. They are: Caring, Common Sense, Cooperation, Courage, All good qualities for students to have to be successful in school. Our teachers are versed on the National Standards and work with them to drive our curriculum in our school. La Senita is a school that shows the community a loving place to send your child and you will know that they will be safe with us and taught all that we can give them to make them a ready for their world ahead.
