October 17th- PSAT (sign up in the bookstore $20.00) for Juniors and sophomores planning on attending a University this is the National Qualifying test for the National Merit Scholar Program. This is practice for sophomores and the qualifier for the junior class. The test will be held in the C –Building from 8:00 am-12:00pm.
October 24th- ACT –American College Test- Sign up online at act.org. This test is for juniors and seniors planning on attending a University. C-Building 8:00-1:00.
October 20th- College Visitation- Colleges and Universities from around the state will be on campus from 8:35-10:00 to meet with seniors. Sign up in the guidance office if you wish to attend.
Teachers: This is the newest scholarship that is available for all of our students.
2010 Profile in Courage Essay Contest

- US high school student in grades 9 - 12 must not be a family member of John Hancock Financial Services. Complete an original and creative essay of less than 1,000 words that demonstrates an understanding of political courage as described by John F. Kennedy in Profiles in Courage. Use at least five varied sources such as newspaper articles, books and/or personal interviews to: Describe and analyze the decisions, actions and risks of an elected official in the US since 1956 who has courageously addressed a political issue at the local, state, national or international level. See Guidelines for further essay information.
- First-place: $5,000 cash and $5,000 in savings. Second-place: $1,000 cash award and up to five finalists each receive a $500 cash award.

Kingman High School former students who are in need of their transcript may obtain them through the Guidance office. In order to protect our student’s privacy, we don’t accept verbal request.
If you still live in the area, you (student or parent listed on the transcript only) may come to the Guidance office during office hours to make your request. Please bring your photo ID and we will process the documents.
If you are living out of area, we require that you write a letter including the following information: name at time of graduation/withdrawal, birth date, date of graduation/withdrawal and the address you want the official transcript to be mailed to. Please mail the letter to the school along with a clear copy of your photo ID to: Kingman High School Attn: Guidance Office 4182 N. Bank Street Kingman, Arizona 86409. You can also fax the letter along with a clear copy of your photo ID to: 928-692-1507. Please note that an official transcript can’t be faxed. There is no charge for this service!!
