Mr.
Roger Jacks obtained his bachelor’s degree in secondary education from
the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. He received a
master’s degree in sociology from Pepperdine University, Malibu,
California and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Nova
Southeastern University, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He has served as
a classroom teacher, teacher on special assignment, high school dean,
high school assistant principal, principal, and director of Human
Resources. While serving as an educational administrator he was
appointed by the governor to serve as a commissioner on the Nevada
Commission for Educational Excellence. He is currently serving on the
Arizona Department of Education’s Solutions Team assisting schools that
are having difficulty in meeting “No Child Left Behind” (NCLB)
standards. Mr. Jacks’s educational philosophy revolves around building
a positive school climate that promotes student achievement
