Dr. Maurice Flores
Dr. Maurice Flores received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Arizona University in 1972. He also earned a Master of Ed and a Doctorate in Higher Education from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1975 and 1986 respectfully. He has served as a classroom teacher teaching both fourth grade and special education in the Clark County School District. He also served as assistant principal at a high school, as an elementary principal at several schools including R. E. Lake Elementary School, C.T. Sewell R. E. Lake Elementary School, and had the privilege to open J.R. Dooley R. E. Lake Elementary School. In 1989 Dr. Flores was assigned as an Area Superintendent in the Elementary Division at CCSD. He served in that position for eleven years. He completed his service in the CCSD as a Region Superintendent, a position he held for over five years. Dr. Flores accepted the position of Superintendent for the Kingman Unified School District and is currently serving in his third year as superintendent. His interest in child development and education continue to be a part of his passion. He also enjoys reading, hiking, and fishing and most importantly he enjoys spending time with his family.
