Parent Teacher Volunteer Organization

help wanted

The Black Mountain Parent/Teacher Volunteer Organization is an integral part of the total school program.  It serves the students in many ways, and thus serves the school.  The PTVO sponsors activities such as "trick-or-Treat on Halloween, Reindeer Lane at Christmas and the Spring Luau.

One of the most successful activities PTVO funds is Art Masters. This program teaches students in 1st - 6th grades about the various artist, that include Picasso, Van Gogh, and Rubens. Students then are able to work with that particular art style by producing their own masterpiece. Students work with a variety of materials ranging from pastel chalks to pencil and paint.

To function effectively, the PTVO needs volunteer workers with a broad range of talents and skills.  We urge all parents to be involved. If you are interested in belonging to this hard working group, You can contact the P.T.V.O. at bmeptvokusd@yahoo.com, through the school office, or talk with your child's teacher.

The PTVO meets at 4:30 in the Library the 1st Wednesday of each month. Hope to see you there.
