Here's the Scoop From the Cafeteria
Welcome to our 2009 - 2010' school year. We would like to let you know what is available in our
Cafeterias at our Kingman Unified School District. We offer breakfast and lunch at all
Kingman Elementary Schools, Kingman Middle Schools, Kingman High School, and Mt. Tipton
Campus.
We put forth every effort to provide your child with a nutritional meal meeting Federal and
State requirements. The costs of these meals are as follows:
Breakfast (all schools) $1.00 $.30 reduced price
Elementary Lunch $1.50 $.40 reduced price
Jr. High Lunch $1.75 $.40 reduced price
High School Lunch $2.00 $.40 reduced price
Adult Lunch $2.50
Milk only $ .35
All our schools allow a student to pay daily, weekly or as far in advance as you would care to.
Please take your parental responsibility of seeing that your student has money for his/her
meals. Students are allowed to have three charges for lunch at the elementary level only.
NO CHARGING IS ALLOWED FOR BREAKFAST. Students are not allowed to charge lunch
for the entire month of May, so we may close out our year. All money left in accounts will
carry over to the next year, unless you request a refund.
We use a keypad entry system.
Students will be entering their own student ID number once again, so please work with your
student to help them learn their number. High School students must have their ID card
with them in order to assess their account with our optical scanners.
Checks: We will not return money from checks, i.e., half for lunch, half for year
books, etc. All monies will be placed in students accounts. NO out-of-town checks
will be accepted at the cafeteria. Insufficient checks given to the cafeteria are subject to
return check fees of $25.00 for each time they fail to clear the bank. All insufficient
checks not made good are turned over to the County Attorney for collection.
FREE & REDUCED APPLICATIONS: A new application must be submitted every year.
Once the new application has been processed the new status will take affect immediately.
The applications from the previous school year (08-09) will remain in effect for the first 30
operating days. If a new application has not been received within that time frame, the
student will be put on a full pay status. Parents will be notified by letter some where within
the ten day approval time frame when the new application is processed.
