As principal of Black Mountain School, I would like to welcome you to our school.  We are a K – 8 school in beautiful Golden Valley, Arizona on highway 68.   I am proud of the academic growth our students have made.  Arizona’s Academic Standards drive the learning process to ensure all students meet or exceed the standards on the AIMS test.  The faculty and staff of Black Mountain look forward to challenging all students to meet their potential in a safe and caring environment.  

Black Mountain offers academic and after school programs designed to meet the needs of our students.  Some of these programs include: After school tutoring, and Academy of Reading, as well as athletics for 6 – 8th graders, choir, jazz band, NASA club, and chess.  Our PTVO group is active and is always looking for volunteers to help in our many activities including Trick or Treat on Halloween, Reindeer Lane, Popcorn/Pickle days and various other fundraisers.  Finally, we are privileged to host the Boys & Girls Club on our campus.
