KINGMAN UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT #20 STAFF DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY All KUSD #20 Staff, Parents and Outlying Districts: August 2007
· To register for or withdraw from a class, please call Aloha Mayol at 753-6217, or you can email her at amayol@kusd.org. · Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registering early is important. Classes are subject to cancellation if enrollment requirements (8 participants) are not met. · There is no charge to take Staff Development Academy classes (participants out of KUSD #20 must include a fee of $50 per class). · All classes are eligible for re-certification hours and professional growth. Upon completion of a Staff Development Academy course (most classes meet for 16 clock hours), participants will receive 1 hour of credit to be used toward advancement on the district salary schedule and 15 re-certification hours. Partial credit is not given. Attendance is required for all scheduled classes. · Teachers of Staff Development Academy coursed will receive their hourly rate of pay. They will also receive 15 re-certification hours for teaching a Staff Development Academy course for the first time. · Kingman Unified School District staff development academy courses will qualify for professional growth credit. The maximum number of academy hours applicable to professional growth credit is limited to one-half (1/2) of the hours required for professional advancement on the salary Schedule.
