E.L.L. P.A.L.S. Program
The Positive Acquisition of Language Skills (P.A.L.S.) program is available for a full academic school year for English Language Learners (ELL) who are classified as pre-emergent, emergent, basic, or intermediate students. The program meets the Structured English Immersion/English Language Development Models as set forth by the English Language Learner Task Force of Arizona. The P.A.L.S. program provides students with a curriculum that is aligned with the Arizona K-12 English Language Learner Proficiency Standards and the Discrete Skills Inventory. The program instructors are English certified/highly qualified teachers who use a variety of teaching methods and strategies including integrated skills curriculum, Rosetta Stone, and Research-based Instructional Strategies for ELLs (RISE).
Junior P.A.L.S. Program
The Positive Applied Learning Styles (P.A.L.S.) Program is designed for sophomores and juniors who have been identified as students who are at-risk of not graduating because they are behind on credits. Only students who have received recommendations from their teachers and counselors are invited to participate in the program. This program is intended to reduce the drop out rate by assisting students in understanding their learning process while providing them with graduation requirements and an opportunity to make up lost credit.
Sincerely,
